Point of Rental is seeking a Product Designer to play a critical role in shaping the future of Point of Rental’s user experience and interfaces. This position will focus on improving the current state and designing the future of our products, collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to drive innovation and deliver exceptional user experiences.

Point of Rental is reimagining design thinking and design processes across the organization, and this role will be on the ground floor of that initiative. Reporting to Point of Rental’s Director of Product, this position offers a unique opportunity to establish design best practices, collaborate with the team, customers and users, and leave a lasting impact on our product suite.

Duties & Responsibilities

Own the customer journey and user experience, representing the voice of the customer in collaboration with product managers and the SCRUM team:

Leading the design of user interfaces and experiences across mobile and web applications.
Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate ideas and solutions.
Collaborating with product managers to refine requirements and ensure designs solve user problems effectively.
Partnering with engineers to ensure design feasibility and a seamless implementation process.
Facilitate a regular cadence of design reviews to showcase the user experience to stakeholders and receive iterative feedback.
Establishing design guidelines, principles, and processes to set a foundation for future growth.
Conducting user research and usability testing to validate and refine designs.
Balancing simplicity, functionality, and aesthetic quality to deliver best-in-class user experiences.

Qualifications and Skills

3-5 years of experience in product design, with a focus on mobile and web applications (B2B SaaS experience preferred).
Proficiency in Figma, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and results.
Ability to create user-centered designs informed by research, data, and feedback.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
A growth-oriented mindset, openness to feedback, and a desire to continuously improve.

Location: Remote or Hybrid (DFW, TX Area)

The Product Team at Point of Rental is generally remote with hybrid work in our Dallas/Ft-Worth office. We use the office as a tool to workshop and collaborate with our team and stakeholders but most time is spent remote. Preference will be given to Texas residents. For remote team members, travel to Dallas/Ft-Worth at least once per quarter will be required.

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt. Base Salary + Benefits (Medical/Dental/Vision) + 401K Matching (Up to 4%) + PTO + Paternity/Maternity Leave.
