About project
We build tools that help healthcare organizations get paid faster, more accurately, and more efficiently. Our flagship product, C-Suite, is a cloud-based SaaS platform that delivers data-driven insights to optimize revenue cycle performance. We partner with medical practices and revenue cycle management companies to minimize accounts receivable time, reduce cost to collect, and maximize payments — all through the power of analytics.
We’re looking for a Data Scientist with deep experience in U.S. healthcare payer and claims data who can help us uncover new insights, build smarter KPIs, and solve complex business problems across the revenue cycle. This role blends technical analysis, business intuition, stakeholder collaboration, and data storytelling.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Discovery: Partner with stakeholders and product leaders to explore business questions, ask the right follow-ups, and define analysis plans that target root causes and meaningful opportunities.
- Analyze Complex Data: Work directly with payer, claim, and transaction data to extract patterns, surface bottlenecks, and generate actionable insights for healthcare practices and revenue cycle teams.
- Shape the Product: Recommend new metrics, visualizations, or data models that can be embedded in C-Suite to support smarter decision-making.
- Drive KPI Development: Collaborate with engineers to define and validate KPI logic — ensuring accuracy, clarity, and clinical/business relevance.
- Tell the Story: Present findings clearly through dashboards, reports, or visual prototypes — with a strong sense for data presentation and user-centric design.
- Build & Automate: Develop repeatable analysis pipelines using SQL, Python, or other tools to support scalable data science within the product.
- Support Product Decisions: Provide ad hoc analysis and A/B testing strategies to guide product evolution, performance improvements, and optimization efforts.
- Ensure Data Quality: Help maintain the integrity of data models and work with engineers to identify anomalies or gaps in source data.
Tech Stack You’ll Work With
- Data Storage: Azure SQL
- Languages & Tools: SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy, etc.), Jupyter, Excel, Highcharts, Power BI or similar
- Backend Collaboration: Go services and API pipelines, javascript based microservices
- Visualization: Highcharts (in-app), exploratory tools of your choice
- Cloud Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure
- Auth & Access Control: Keycloak
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or decision science roles, ideally in healthcare technology or healthcare consulting.
- Strong background working with U.S. healthcare payer and claims data, including an understanding of billing, remittances, denials, adjustments, and other revenue cycle metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead business discovery conversations — asking insightful questions and translating vague business needs into concrete analytical plans.
- Advanced SQL skills and comfort working directly with large relational databases.
- Proficiency in Python for analysis, transformation, and visualization (Pandas, Matplotlib, etc.).
- Strong visual communication skills and a sharp eye for how data should be presented to users — not just accurate, but intuitive and accessible.
- Ability to collaborate with product, engineering, and client-facing teams in an Agile, fast-moving environment.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and best practices for working with sensitive healthcare data.
- Bonus: Experience in KPI design, productized analytics, or embedded BI in SaaS platforms.
What We Offer:
- Contract Terms: Full-time involvement on an hourly contract basis.
- Flexible Schedule: Remote work from anywhere in the world, as long as you canoverlap with the team in the U.S.
- Team: A diverse international team of talent from around the world, ready forcollaboration.
