About the Job
The Marketing Specialist will play a key role in developing the digital presence of Platton through SEO-optimized content creation, keyword research, blog strategy, and localized campaign execution. This role is ideal for a highly experienced, detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in inbound logistics marketing, who is ready to lead and scale high-impact marketing content.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in copywriting for B2B audiences, blog growth strategy, keyword analysis, and local SEO. You will work closely with our design, operations, and sales teams to attract high-quality leads and position Platton as a market leader in digital freight and customs services.
This position is fully remote and offers above-market compensation based on experience and results.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and write high-performing SEO-optimized blog content targeting U.S. importers and exporters
• Conduct detailed keyword research, clustering, and content gap analysis using tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Surfer SEO
• Build and manage the company blog, ensuring strategic topic selection and publishing calendar
• Create landing pages, case studies, and on-site messaging aligned with brand tone and logistics industry language
• Drive local SEO improvements (e.g., Google Business, local keywords, structured content)
• Monitor content performance and search rankings to refine and optimize existing content
• Work alongside sales and marketing teams to translate logistics service offerings into compelling narratives
• Collaborate with external designers or writers when scaling volume or creative projects
• Stay updated on search engine algorithm updates and implement best practices across all content assets
Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 4 years of experience in B2B SEO-focused content marketing, preferably in logistics, SaaS, or e-commerce
• Strong copywriting skills with a portfolio of blog articles, landing pages, and high-conversion content
• Expert-level keyword research and SEO optimization capabilities
• Experience managing blog architecture and growth from zero to scale
• Familiarity with logistics terms (Incoterms, customs, ocean/air freight language)
• Hands-on experience with SEO tools like Surfer, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console
• Excellent written English and editorial skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setup with weekly reporting
Preferred
• Experience working with U.S. logistics or e-commerce brands
• Strong understanding of Google ranking factors, Core Web Vitals, and on-page structure
• Experience working with WordPress, Webflow, or similar CMS
• Ability to collaborate with ad/paid media teams for keyword synergy
• Experience creating or managing multilingual content (EN/HI/ES/PT optional)
