We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator experience to join our team for a new opportunity.
This role is REMOTE. Candidate must reside in the United States
What you get to do.
· Configure, administer, and maintain COTS and custom business applications in support of ITA operations.
· Ensure system resilience and uptime through proactive software patching, upgrades, and system monitoring.
· Diagnose and resolve software-related issues, ensuring optimal system performance and security.
· Perform system backups and recovery procedures to maintain data integrity and disaster recovery preparedness.
· Manage data files, user access controls, and system configurations for high availability and security compliance.
· Support Microsoft Azure-based infrastructure solutions, including Azure Tenant administration, security enforcement, and policy configurations.
· Implement and manage Azure security policies, including role-based access control (RBAC), identity and access management (IAM), conditional access policies, and threat protection.
· Lead the installation of new software releases, patches, and security updates as part of ITA's ITSM framework.
· Ensure system compliance with ITA governance, security policies, and operational standards.
· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior administrators, ensuring knowledge transfer and best practices.
· Document system processes, configurations, and incident resolutions for operational transparency and reporting.
Required Skills.
· Minimum five (5) + years of experience in configuration, administration, and maintenance of COTS and custom business applications.
· Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
· Must be a U.S. citizen
· Experience with Microsoft Azure Tenant administration, including security policy enforcement, monitoring, and governance.
· Expertise in Microsoft Azure administration, including managing virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity management.
· Strong understanding of system backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
· Experience implementing patch management, system monitoring, and performance tuning.
· Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot software-related issues in enterprise environments.
· Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) in Azure, including conditional access policies, MFA enforcement, and compliance monitoring.
· Hands-on experience with Azure security policies, threat protection strategies, and compliance frameworks.
· Strong documentation and communication skills to support technical reporting and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Certifications:
· AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate (Required)
· AZ-305 Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (Required)
· Additional certifications in ITSM, ITIL, or cloud security are a plus.
