About The Role

The Defense and Intelligence pod is looking for a full-stack software engineer who will be responsible for building systems and integrating with our federal customers. In this role, you will work with multiple internal teams to build our next generation integration platform that will drive our next decade of growth.

Your work will be highly visible and will directly impact the ability of customers to get faster access to Planet’s unprecedented datasets. The ideal candidate would have experience in full-stack development, backend services and workflow orchestration. Ideal candidates have a positive attitude and exude excitement about Planet’s mission.

This is a full-time, remote position based in the United States. If located near an office, you are expected to work from that office 3 days per week.

Impact You'll Own

Participate in the entire engineering lifecycle, from concept to implementation
Ownership of the quality and availability of mission systems
Contribute to the improvement of our architecture, infrastructure, and processes

What You Bring

4+ years industry experience
Fluency in Golang, Python, Postgresql, & React or related technologies
Full stack application development experience (Database, Services, Web)
Experience building orchestration workflows preferably with Temporal (temporal.io)
Experience with maintaining infrastructure-in-code
Experience with logging, alerting, and monitoring tools to support system quality
Current and active TS/SCI clearance

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is listed below. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity). The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location. The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only. New York City + California Salary Range

$136,000—$170,000 USD

San Francisco Salary Range

$144,500—$180,600 USD

US National Salary Range

$127,000—$158,700 USD
