Sr. Software Engineer II

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team at YUM Connect, LLC. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the Pizza Hut US Digital and Technology team, working on mobile and web development projects. Your expertise in React and React Native will be instrumental in creating exceptional customer-facing applications. This fully remote contract position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of cross-functional teams and make a significant impact on our products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full stack solutions for Pizza Hut US applications across web and mobile platforms.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and well-tested features.
• Partner with product and design teams to define and execute technical solutions.
• Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
• Own technical documentation and actively reduce technical debt.
• Triage and resolve production issues promptly.
• Utilize GenAI tools to accelerate development (optional).
• Apply software development best practices, including coding standards, peer reviews, source control, CI/CD processes, and testing.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ship meaningful product improvements.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in React and React Native is a must.
• Familiarity with GoLang is preferred.
• Knowledge of AWS, GitLab Pipelines, and DevOps best practices is an asset.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced Kanban environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and development fundamentals.
• Relevant Computer Science or IT-related qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience with GenAI tools for software development (optional).
