About the Role
Pivto Better Learning is a woman-owned healthcare education company creating best-in-class custom learning experiences for healthcare systems, medical schools, pharmaceutical companies, and public health organizations. Our work is seen by clinicians, students, and healthcare professionals across the country — and it has to look the part.
We're looking for a Graphic Designer with sharp aesthetic instincts, formal training, and the ability to move fluidly across print, digital, eLearning, and presentation design. This is not a junior role. We want someone who brings a strong point of view, takes ownership of visual quality, and elevates every project they touch.
What You'll Do
• Design visually compelling eLearning assets, including slide decks, illustrated graphics, infographics, icons, and course UI elements — for both client projects and Pivto's own internal marketing and brand presence
• Create polished client-facing deliverables — presentations, proposals, reports, and branded materials — in PowerPoint and other formats
• Support Pivto's internal marketing needs including website assets, social graphics, sales collateral, and brand campaigns
• Develop and maintain brand systems for Pivto and our clients, ensuring visual consistency across all touchpoints
• Collaborate closely with instructional designers and subject matter experts to translate complex medical content into clear, engaging visuals
• Support video production workflows with motion graphics, lower thirds, and visual assets as needed
• Use AI design tools thoughtfully to accelerate production while maintaining high visual standards
• Contribute to the visual direction of new client projects from kickoff through delivery
What We're Looking For
We have specific requirements for this role — please read carefully before applying.
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a closely related design discipline from an accredited program — self-taught candidates will not be considered for this role
• 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional taste, range, and craft
• Deep, expert-level mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite is non-negotiable — Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign are your daily tools, not software you occasionally open
• Strong PowerPoint design skills — you know how to make slides that are actually beautiful, not just functional
• Demonstrated experience working with AI design and image generation tools (e.g., Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, or similar) in a professional workflow
• Keen eye for typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where priorities can shift
Preferred
• Experience in healthcare, medical, or educational content design
• Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, or similar)
• Motion graphics or video editing experience (After Effects, Premiere)
• Understanding of accessibility standards in digital design (WCAG compliance)
Portfolio Requirement
A portfolio is required to be considered. Please submit a link to your portfolio or work samples that demonstrate your range and quality of work. Applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed. We're specifically looking for examples that showcase sophisticated visual thinking — not just technical execution.
