Piper Companies is hiring a Technical (Software Engineering) Program Manager for a large technology organization located in Morrisville, NC. The Technical (Software Engineering) Program Manager will need to come from a strong technical/software background and will be leading and managing high level engineers and project managers. The Technical (Software Engineering) Program Manager can work remotely in EST hours and is a long term contract opportunity with potential to convert permanent.Responsibilities for the Technical (Software Engineering) Program Manager:

Lead and manage multiple concurrent technical programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery
Proactively identify and eliminate engineering roadblocks, enabling teams to maintain momentum
Escalate risks and concerns to leadership with clarity and urgency, offering actionable mitigation strategies
Facilitate technical discussions and ensure alignment on architecture decisions, especially in areas involving microservices and cloud infrastructure
Champion agile methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements for the Technical (Software Engineering) Program Manager:

Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager, ideally with a background as a Software Engineer
Strong understanding of microservices architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and scalable systems
Demonstrated ability to remove technical and organizational blockers
Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across diverse team

Compensation for Technical (Software Engineering) Program Manager:

$100,000 - $130,000 base salary
Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision and Dental , PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law
