Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test for a leading cybersecurity technology client in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. The Senior Software Engineer in Test role is a contract position and requires you to be remote in the RTP area. The Senior Software Engineer in Test role is ideal for an experienced test automation professional with a strong background in building frameworks from the ground up and supporting Common Criteria (CC) security initiatives.

Responsibilities of the Senior Software Engineer in Test include:

Architect, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions to support Common Criteria (CC) certification projects.
Build and scale test automation frameworks from scratch to improve test coverage, reliability, and efficiency.
Partner with software engineers, security teams, and project stakeholders to validate application functionality and compliance requirements.
Design and execute automated and manual test strategies for web applications, APIs, and backend services.
Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and drive quality improvements throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements of the Senior Software Engineer in Test include:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
4+ years of software testing and quality assurance experience.
Proven experience creating and implementing a test automation framework from scratch.
Strong knowledge of test automation tools, test design methodologies, and software development best practices.
Experience supporting Common Criteria (CC) projects, security-focused applications, or regulated environments is highly preferred.

Compensation for the Senior Software Engineer in Test include:

$45 - $70/hr
