Principal Developer Marketing Manager

Piper Companies is seeking a Principal Developer Marketing Manager to lead go-to-market strategy for developer-facing data connectivity products. The Principal Developer Marketing Manager role is ideal for a technically credible marketer who thinks like a developer and owns positioning, launches, and content for engineering-led evaluation cycles within the data infrastructure and enterprise software industry. The Principal Developer Marketing Manager role is a remote opportunity.

Responsibilities of the Principal Developer Marketing Manager:

• Own positioning and messaging for developer-facing products across AI, analytics, automation, and data ingestion use cases.
• Define technical differentiation against build-in-house and alternative connectivity approaches.
• Own developer-facing website messaging and support campaigns, SEO, and technical landing pages.
• Lead go-to-market execution for new features, connectors, and platform releases.
• Write and maintain developer content including quickstarts, integration guides, and architecture documentation.
• Translate developer feedback into roadmap input and support Sales and Customer Success with technical messaging.

Requirements of the Principal Developer Marketing Manager:

• 7+ years of experience in product marketing, developer marketing, developer relations, or technical content within data infrastructure or developer tools.
• Hands-on API experience with the ability to read documentation, make API calls, and write working code samples.
• Proven ability to create clear, accurate technical content for developers.
• Strong instinct for developer experience and troubleshooting broken evaluation flows.
• Practical coding experience and ability to communicate credibly with engineering teams.
• A public technical artifact such as a GitHub repo, technical blog, demo video, or sample application.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JDBC/ODBC, authentication patterns, and modern SaaS data ecosystems.

Compensation for the Principal Developer Marketing Manager:

• $225,000 - $250,000 base salary
