Piper Companies is hiring a Migration Software Engineer (Groovy) for a worldwide technology company located in Morrisville, NC. The Migration Software Engineer (Groovy) will be designing and implementing migration strategies, modernizing applications, and ensuring seamless transitions to cloud-native architectures.. The Migration Software Engineer (Groovy) is a remote opportunity and is a 6-9 month contract opportunity.Responsibilities for the Migration Software Engineer (Groovy):

Develop and maintain migration scripts and tools using Groovy and other JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin).
Design and execute application migration strategies for on-prem and cloud environments.
Implement containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes to support microservices architectures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration and integration processes.
Utilize CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) to automate build and deployment workflows.
Optimize performance and reliability during migration projects across AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.

Requirements for the Migration Software Engineer (Groovy):

3+ years of software engineering experience with Groovy or JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin).
Experience with hybrid migration projects involving legacy systems and cloud-native solutions.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong understanding of application migration strategies, containerization, and microservices.
Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.

Compensation for the Migration Software Engineer (Groovy):

$50.00-$70.00 per hour
