Piper Companies is looking for a Full Stack Developer - Backend / API Development to join a strategic global organization a fully remote role working EST / CST hours. The ideal Full Stack Developer - Backend / API Development will design and build scalable backend services while contributing to frontend development efforts.

Responsibilities for Full Stack Developer - Backend / API Development:

Build and maintain robust, scalable RESTful APIs using Python to power core platform features
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs with React-based UIs
Contribute to automated testing efforts, with a focus on backend/API testing
Work in a collaborative, agile environment where your input directly impacts product direction

Qualifications for Full Stack Developer - Backend / API Development:

5+ years of experience as a Full Stack or Backend Developer with a strong focus on API development
Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
Hands-on experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Prefect, Airflow).
Experience with Snowflake using Python
Exposure to frontend development using React
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
Familiarity with automated testing tools and practices, especially for APIs
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Compensation/Benefits for the Full Stack Developer - Backend / API Development:

Salary Range: $125,000 – $145,000 annually (based on experience and location)
