About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in .NET and Microsoft Azure. This remote position is ideal for professionals based in Latin America who thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments and enjoy solving complex engineering challenges across distributed teams.

Project Overview

You will be a key contributor on the United States Information Reporting (USIR) team, helping to integrate new requirements into a critical component of a large-scale tax reporting platform. The platform is cloud-native (Azure) and utilizes a microservices architecture. You’ll help enhance system scalability, performance, and maintainability through close coordination with development and support teams. A strong emphasis will be placed on code quality, infrastructure automation, and continuous delivery.

Core Skills & Responsibilities

• Strong proficiency in .NET Core for backend development
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
• Familiar with core Azure services including:
• Event Hubs, Service Bus, Function Apps, App Services, Container Apps
• Storage Accounts, CDNs, Subscriptions, Resource Groups
• Application Insights, Log Analytics, RBAC, Managed Identities, App Registrations
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines, particularly using tools like GitHub Actions
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) via Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform, or Pulumi
• Skilled in Docker containerization
• Database proficiency across Azure SQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, and Cosmos DB
• Able to contribute to IaC, developer workflows, UI (if needed), and architecture
• Exposure to additional Azure-native solutions like ASB, Event Hub, AKS, or ACA is a plus

Bonus Experience

• Familiarity with application security at scale:
• Open Policy Agent (OPA)
• REGO
• Auth0 or similar identity providers
• SPIFFE
• Experience with Snowflake (data integration use cases)
• Exposure to Angular (especially helpful for full-stack collaboration)
