PILLAR Performance ('PILLAR'), is a leading Australian sports nutrition company, launched in July 2021. We produce a line of globally leading performance health supplements fit for purpose for the greatest athletes in the world.
Since our launch into the market in June 2021, PILLAR is now used by over 100 professional sporting franchises, including teams within the NBA, NFL, AFL, NRL, Olympic programs, World tour cycling teams, the NN Running team and a growing number of elite endurance athletes globally. Our products are sold via both direct, retail and distribution agreements throughout the world.
The Role
This isn’t your average Marketing Manager role, it’s your chance to build one of the world’s next great performance supplements brands, leading across every arena of marketing and brand. From delivering world-class brand activations, to driving community, content, retail marketing strategies, and ecommerce. You’ll play a pivotal role in scaling a global brand trusted by elite athletes and high performers (whether they’re elite amateurs, goal oriented athletes, life optimisers or professionals). If you want to shape how a performance brand shows up, connects, and delivers on its vision to shift health from prevention to performance, this is the role.
Brand Activation Leader
You’ll be the engine behind bringing the PILLAR brand to life globally whether it’s a major marathon activation to a local retail or community experiences. From bold ideas to seamless team execution, you’ll ensure every touchpoint connects our community with the PILLAR vision.
Project Management Pro
You won’t just manage marketing projects, you'll own them end-to-end. From ideating with our CEO and marketing team to interpreting briefs, managing budgets, timelines, suppliers, and stakeholders, you’ll make sure every project lands on time, on budget, and on brand. You’ll keep the wheels turning without breaking a sweat (or maybe just a little… we’re all about performance here).
Channel & Trade Marketing Connector
You’ll bridge the gap between our retail partners and the PILLAR brand. Working closely with our global sales, operations, and marketing teams you will ensure trade activities deliver ROI from a brand equity and revenue basis. Whether it’s in-store, online, or on-site, you’ll craft experiences that sell the brand and the product while building long-term partnerships that make PILLAR the go-to performance nutrition brand for retailers.
People Leader & Collaborator
You’ll lead and inspire an E-commerce Manager, Designer, Partnerships Manager, and Content Manager (and other partners), aligning efforts across functions and channels to create a unified, joined-up brand presence. Internally and externally, you’re an ideator, a collaborator, a mentor, and the ultimate team player.
Hands-On & On-Site
From your desk to the activation floor, you’ll be in the thick of it when it counts overseeing builds, installs, and event execution. Yes, that means some evenings and weekends, but that’s the privilege of creating epic, unforgettable brand moments. (Think expos, retail pop-ups, marathons, sporting partnerships, you’ll be at the heart of the action - internationally!)
Athlete Partnerships & Ambassador Management
You’ll work alongside the Partnerships Manager and Content Manager to support their strategies while taking the lead on managing day-to-day relationships with our athletes, ambassadors, and high-performance partners, ensuring they’re delivering on content, appearances, and activations that align with the PILLAR brand. You’ll also partner with the CEO to identify and recommend new athletes, ambassadors, and creators who embody our vision.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
🎉 Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of premium brand activations, retail experiences, and events that deliver memorable, high-impact moments.
📅 Own the marketing calendar, keeping the team and cross-functional partners aligned. Including key retail campaigns to weekly brand communications.
💼 Manage projects end-to-end, owning briefs, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder alignment to ensure seamless, on-brand delivery.
🤝 Collaborate across sales, marketing, and retail teams to create activations and trade initiatives that drive both brand awareness and commercial outcomes.
🏆 Lead and mentor a high-performing cross-functional global team to deliver cohesive, integrated brand experiences across all touchpoints.
🏗️ Be hands-on and on-site at activations and events, overseeing builds and execution while representing the brand with visible leadership presence.
🏃♀️ Manage day-to-day relationships with athletes, ambassadors, and partners, ensuring content, appearances, and activations align with brand goals and strategy.
