Principal Product Designer

Pholio is looking for a Principal Designer to lead design strategy, shape our product experience, and elevate our design culture. This role is ideal for a hands-on design leader who thrives in ambiguity, balances vision with execution, and mentors teams while driving high-impact work.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end design processes, from research and concept development to prototyping and final execution
• Define and uphold best practices in user experience, interaction design, and visual design
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions align with business objectives and user needs
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
• Advocate for a user-centered design approach while balancing technical and business constraints
• Mentor and guide other designers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
• Influence design systems and standards, ensuring consistency across products

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work
• Expertise in UI/UX design, interaction design, and visual design principles
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools
• Strong ability to synthesize complex problems into simple, elegant solutions
• Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with product managers and engineers
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
