Role Description
The Marketing Manager will be both a strategic contributor and a tactical executor. This individual should be excited to get their hands dirty—not only developing high-level plans but also building and launching multichannel campaigns directly.
This person will lead the Marketing team, laying out and joining in the execution of campaigns that align with the company's focus on key market sectors, including Real Estate, GovCon & Tech, Diplomatic Missions, Hospitality, and Fee for Service segments. The ideal candidate is an organized self-starter who can prioritize between quick wins and long-term brand initiatives, blending a scrappy, startup mentality with professional marketing rigor. This role requires expertise in both relationship-driven marketing and digital presence management within the insurance brokerage space.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company’s market sector priorities, particularly in Real Estate, GovCon & Tech, Diplomatic Missions, Hospitality, and specialized areas like Arab medical offices.
- Direct brand positioning within competitive insurance markets across diverse sectors.
- Oversee the internal marketing team (2 Marketing Coordinators) and manage relationships with external partners (Neilson Team).
- Align marketing initiatives with business development goals and revenue targets.
- Lead quarterly strategic planning sessions to adjust priorities based on market performance.
Campaign Execution
- Personally build and deploy email campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp or HubSpot.
- Launch and optimize paid media campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Meta Ads.
- Write ad copy, build audiences, track KPIs, and iterate on performance.
- Update website content using CMS platforms (WordPress or Webflow).
- Manage SEO strategy using tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs.
Team Management & Development
- Lead and mentor the marketing team.
- Coordinate activities with Neilson Team's SEO and Digital Marketing retainer services.
- Establish clear KPIs and development paths for team members.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration, especially with sales teams.
Membership Strategy & Management
- Evaluate ROI of membership investments and recommend adjustments to portfolio.
- Develop strategies to maximize networking opportunities within industry associations.
Events Planning
- Oversee comprehensive events strategy, including:
- Sponsored events for business development.
- Staff education events.
- Client/partner-hosted events.
- Annual client and carrier events
- Ensure events align with sector-specific strategies (e.g., CUSP expansion into larger associations, COMRE new memberships).
- Develop metrics for evaluating event effectiveness and ROI.
- Direct procurement and inventory management related to events.
Market Sector Development
- Lead strategic initiatives for each key market sector:
- Real Estate: Expand CUSP into larger associations and PMC-driven events.
- GovCon & Tech: Leverage NVTC/NVCC memberships and networking events.
- Diplomatic Missions: Develop Meridian partnership and back-office broker relationships.
- Hospitality: Penetrate new networks and develop product pages.
- Fee for Service: Target Arab medical offices with specialized campaigns.
- Coordinate with sales teams to develop sector-specific marketing materials and approaches.
Digital Marketing & Content Strategy
- Direct company's digital presence, including:
- Website development (careers page, market-specific content).
- Company Journal content strategy.
- SEO optimization across priority sectors.
- Content development (emails, booklets, infographics).
- Oversee algorithm tracking, traffic optimization, and compliance reporting.
- Ensure digital assets support key initiatives like client experience enhancement.
Budget Management & ROI Analysis
- Develop and manage marketing budgets across all sectors and activities.
- Oversee scheduled investments in priority sectors (Real Estate, GovTech, Diplomatic).
- Evaluate and recommend new investment opportunities (e.g., Hospitality associations).
- Track marketing ROI metrics (revenue, source of revenue, KPIs).
- Prepare quarterly budget performance reviews for executive leadership.
Client Experience & Relationship Marketing
- Direct marketing initiatives supporting the client experience:
- Proposal development and enhancement.
- Client portal optimization.
- VIP lifecycle management.
- Referral partnership programs.
- Coordinate with sales teams on CRM documentation and Salesforce updates.
- Oversee client/staff education initiatives and press releases.
Strategic Partnerships
- Develop and manage key strategic partnerships, including:
- Financial institutions (Capital One, Wells Fargo, Atlantic Union Bank).
- Industry partners (Atlas Advancements, Forvis).
- International relationships (New Meridian partnership).
- Ensure partnerships align with sector priorities and business objectives.
- Measure and report on partnership effectiveness.
Qualifications
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive marketing experience with at least 4 years in leadership.
- Demonstrated success with membership-based and relationship marketing.
- Experience marketing to diverse business sectors, particularly in commercial insurance.
- Prior management/team building experience (at least 1 direct report).
Skills & Knowledge
- Deep understanding of relationship-based B2B marketing strategies.
- Strong expertise in membership and event-based marketing approaches.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, SEO, and content development.
- Experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
- Strong analytical skills for ROI measurement and budget optimization.
- Experience with international and diplomatic business protocols (preferred).

Work Hours & Compensation
This is a full-time position with an expectation to be online and available from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM EST (15:30 to 00:30 Beirut Time) Monday through Friday. This role has a monthly salary range of $4200 to $4600 USD.
