Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist (Contract) to join our team on a remote basis. The ideal candidate will bring 6–8 years of experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics, with hands-on expertise in Azure, Databricks, Python, and PySpark.

You will be responsible for designing and deploying scalable ML models, conducting advanced data analysis, and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders across both technical and business domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and maintain machine learning models for varied business applications.
• Apply advanced methods such as Regression, Logistic Regression, Random Forest, XGBoost, SVM, Clustering, Ensemble Techniques, and Hyperparameter Tuning.
• Work with Probabilistic Models, Supervised/Unsupervised Learning, Optimization, and Deep Learning.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and clearly communicate insights to technical and non-technical teams.
• Utilize Databricks, Azure ML, and ML libraries (scikit-learn, MLlib, H2O, R, etc.) for model development.
• Solve complex problems using constraint optimization and innovative methodologies.
• Stay updated with emerging tools/techniques to enhance model performance and scalability.

Qualifications & Experience

• 6–8 years of professional experience in Data Science / Machine Learning.
• Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark.
• Proven experience with Azure Data & ML services and Databricks.
• Deep understanding of ML algorithms, optimization techniques, and deep learning models.
• Ability to communicate complex findings effectively to cross-functional teams.
• This is a remote contract role suited for professionals who are strong problem-solvers, adaptive, and eager to apply cutting-edge ML solutions in real-world scenarios.
