Senior Graphic Designer

Brief Description

• Design, layout, and format client medical communication projects and internal projects as assigned
• Quickly and accurately incorporate revisions to design projects
• Recreate charts, graphics, tables, and medical illustrations for use in various deliverable formats
• Design and format client projects to be clean, professional, and scientifically accurate
• Design templates and execute template swaps using client/brand style guides
• Collaborate with project team on project scope and timelines with the ability to escalate concerns to their manager as appropriate
• Oversee any work completed by other designers on the brand, including freelancers, to ensure client styles and expectations are met
• Provide creative ideas and guidance on projects to elevate client deliverables
• Perform quality control checks for design colleagues and share your work for the same

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree (art, design, digital art major preferred)

• 3-6 years of medical communications agency experience

• Experience designing in both Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office

• Remain flexible and adapt to changing timelines

• Strong attention to detail

• Must be a positive force and perform well in a team environment

• Mastery of Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office

• Some knowledge of social trends, platforms, and methodologies

• Internet knowledge / Cloud-based networks such as OneDrive and SharePoint

• Ability to take direction and feedback

• Passion for learning and sharing new design trends and tools

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Ability to take initiative, communicate clearly, and work effectively and collaboratively in a dynamic, virtual environment

Summary

The Senior Graphic Designer will support the Creative Department in the development of medical communication materials including advisory board presentations, print and digital brand launch materials, scientific trainings, publications, and other medical communications deliverables.

The Senior Graphic Designer must be fluent in InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint with deep knowledge of the application with the ability to create detailed data charts, simple medical illustrations, PPT slides and animations, and utilize styles sheets and templates in all software.

This role will work closely with the project team to understand creative team and seek guidance from the Creative Director and Art Director as appropriate. The senior graphic designer must have a good design eye, understand layout, and print processes, and a high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Graphic designer works on a portfolio of clients, ensuring creative projects are completed on time and meet client objectives and expectations while providing creative ideas and solutions to elevate project deliverables.
