The Role

As our Brand Marketing and Content Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving both our brand’s growth and our product innovation pipeline. You’ll lead the execution of brand strategies that build awareness, drive conversion on e-commerce and at retail, and accelerate revenue across channels. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to shape compelling, insight-driven marketing and commercialization plans, and champion the successful development and launch of new products that delight pet parents and deliver on our promise of pet health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Brand Strategy, Positioning & Innovation

  • Define and evolve the brand strategy, positioning, and messaging to drive brand awareness, differentiation, consumer loyalty, and a robust new product pipeline.
  • In partnership with Product Development Leader translate consumer insights into actionable product innovation opportunities and long-term roadmaps that fuel brand and revenue growth.

Drive New Product Development (NPD)

  • Own the marketing workstream for new product development from ideation to launch.
  • Partner with R&D, Product Development, Supply Chain, and cross-functional teams to develop, refine, and commercialize new products, ensuring they meet consumer needs, brand standards, and business goals.
  • Lead development of launch plans, go-to-market strategies, packaging design, claims, and consumer communications for new products.
  • Evaluate in-market performance of new products and recommend optimizations and future enhancements.

Develop & Execute Integrated Campaigns

  • Collaborate with the VP of Growth Marketing and E-Commerce to develop seasonal campaigns and evergreen initiatives that support both core and new products across the full customer journey.
  • Ensure flawless execution with internal and external partners (social, influencers, PR, paid media, email, e-commerce, retail merchandising, creative production).

Oversee Content, Assets & Messaging

  • Oversee consistent and integrated brand execution across paid media, email, social, packaging, and owned channels.
  • Organize and manage marketing content, creative assets, and brand guidelines for both existing and new products to maintain consistency and efficiency.

Monitor Brand & Product Performance

  • Continuously track brand health, product performance, and category trends to identify new opportunities and inform proactive brand and product plans.
  • Deliver actionable insights through analysis of multiple data sources.

Align with Performance Marketing

  • Partner closely with performance marketing teams to ensure content and creative assets for both core and new products align with digital advertising strategies and convert effectively across Amazon, Meta, Google, TikTok, and other platforms.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with E-Commerce, Retail Sales, Supply Chain, R&D, and Customer Service teams to ensure marketing initiatives support retail execution, supply chain readiness, and an excellent consumer experience.

Manage Budgets & ROI

  • Develop and manage the brand marketing budget, prioritizing resources to support key product launches and maximize ROI.

Lead & Develop the Team

  • Manage and mentor an internal team consisting of a Creative and Design Lead, Sr Associate Brand Manager and a Project Manager, Innovation (dotted line), as well as external freelancers, agencies, and partners, to deliver high-quality work that supports both brand building and successful product introductions.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in brand marketing with a proven track record of executing campaigns and marketing strategies; preferably within an omnichannel CPG company. Pet industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Solid understanding of marketing principles, brand management, digital marketing, and market analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels and functions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and working with internal and external partners to achieve goals.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
