We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test to join our dynamic development team. You will be a key player in building and maintaining robust testing frameworks, driving test strategy, and contributing to the overall improvement of our development lifecycle. What You’ll Do

Develop and maintain comprehensive automated test suites for web-based applications, covering functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
Design and implement robust test frameworks using modern tools and technologies ensuring scalability and maintainability.
Build and automate API tests to validate backend functionality and integration with the front-end and back end, ensuring end-to-end reliability.
Implement performance testing strategies to identify and address bottlenecks, ensuring optimal application performance under varying load conditions.
Develop and execute security tests, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing, to ensure the application's resilience against security threats.
Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, enabling continuous testing and rapid feedback for development teams.
Analyze test results and provide detailed reports, identifying defects and areas for improvement, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
Contribute to the development of test data strategies and manage test data effectively for web application testing.
Participate in code reviews, providing feedback on testability and code quality, and advocating for best practices in web application development.
Troubleshoot complex issues across the application stack, including front-end, backend, and database components, to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Create and maintain clear and concise test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports, to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Field of study in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Information Technology, or equivalent related work experience.
5+ years’ experience of manual and automated testing for web-based applications.
Proficiency in one of the following programing languages
Java
TypeScript (JavaScript)
Proficiency in one of the following testing frameworks
Junit
TestNG
Selenium Web-Driver
Playwright (puppeteer)
Proficiency in HTTP protocol and HTTP REST API.
Practical experience in following tools Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
Practical understanding of Agile SDLC.
Experience in NGS software and/or bioinformatics is preferred.
Collaboration with Global teams - open to collaborating with other teams across multiple time zone - open to learn.
