Senior Project Manager - Civils Design - HVDC

We are Pershing Consultants, a human-centric engineering project partner supporting critical infrastructure development across the UK.

We specialise in the project management of energy infrastructure projects including transmission & distribution, solar, wind, energy storage, hydrogen and nuclear.

The Role

We are supporting the delivery of the Employers’ Civil Designer (ECD) scope for a major transmission programme comprising multiple converter stations and associated infrastructure.

We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager with a civil engineering background to lead day-to-day design management and co-ordination through RIBA Stage 4. This is a complex programme of work that will require extensive stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage programme, resourcing, and delivery across multi-discipline design teams.
• Lead regular coordination, reporting, and interface meetings.
• Maintain deliverables trackers, risk and change logs, and commercial reports.

Travel Requirements: This role will require monthly in person meetings in Manchester or Glasgow.

Contract: Whilst our preference would be for this to be a permanent staff role, we may be able to consider a contractor arrangement for a minimum of 12 months.

Requirements

• Civil Engineering qualifications and experience
• Project management qualifications or demonstrable experience as a leading Project Manager during pre-construction
• Directly relevant eperience to the scope for this role
