Tech Lead - Python - SaaS Product Engineering

We’re working with a rapidly scaling tech company based in Australia, known for their cutting-edge SaaS platform that simplifies and secures complex device and system environments for enterprise-level clients.
Following an internal promotion, they’re now seeking an experienced Team Leader to guide and grow a high-performing, collaborative engineering team (5), focused on Python development, DevOps practices, and API integration.
This is a rare opportunity for a technically strong leader who thrives in a hands-on role — with roughly 60% of your time spent on coding and design, and the remaining 40% on mentoring and team leadership. You’ll help drive technical strategy, foster a strong team culture, and contribute to the continued evolution of a robust cloud-native product. This role offers meaningful influence on both product direction and team growth, all within a culture of high trust and genuine flexibility.

What You’ll Bring

• A deep desire to make a difference—this role is perfect for someone who wants to apply their skills to shape an evolving product used by customers who are some of Australia’s biggest companies.
• Proven experience building, leading, and mentoring high-performing Python engineers
• Ability to support and challenge senior engineers, while coaching mid-level engineers through their development
• Expert level Python skills
• Broad technical experience including DevOps (Azure), APIs, cloud integration and related tools.
• Strong background in Agile product development, ideally in fast-paced SaaS platform environments
• Passion for leading clean and scalable architecture and coding practices

Nice to have:

• Experience with device security or endpoint management solutions (like Intune)
• Track record of working in a startup or scale-up environment
