C# Tech Lead
📍 Remote – Europe | 💼 Full-time | 📑 100% B2B Contract | Salary Gross €70-80k
We’re looking for a C# Tech Lead to drive the design and delivery of high-performance, event-driven systems for a major sportsbook platform. You’ll lead architecture, guide a distributed engineering team, and ensure scalable, low-latency, mission-critical solutions. Experience with Microsoft Orleans, Apache Pulsar, and real-time domains (sportsbook, fintech, etc.) is essential.
This is a full-time, fully remote role for professionals based in Europe on a 100% B2B contract.
What You’ll Do
- Lead architecture and development of distributed, event-driven systems in C#/.NET
- Implement Microsoft Orleans for actor-based microservices and stream processing
- Manage event pipelines and messaging infrastructure via Apache Pulsar
- Ensure systems are scalable, resilient, and optimized for high-traffic, real-time workloads
- Provide technical leadership: coding standards, best practices, code reviews, and mentorship
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and product managers on platform improvements
- Oversee project planning, sprint delivery, and stakeholder communication
- Support cloud deployments (Azure/AWS) with a focus on resilience and scale
What You Bring
- 8+ years in backend development with strong C#/.NET expertise
- Proven experience in event-driven architectures
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Orleans and Apache Pulsar
- Deep understanding of real-time messaging, microservices, and high-throughput systems
- Track record in sportsbook, fintech, or other large-scale, mission-critical domains
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and decision-making abilities in distributed teams
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
