Product Designer

At Pencil, we are driving innovation in advertising technology through our state-of-the-art SaaS product, which harnesses Generative AI to redefine content creation. Our mission is to make AI the default in advertising without replacing creative people. To achieve this, we need to make sure that our technology isn’t just in the hands of big brands - we need to try to help small businesses and creative individuals too.

We’re hiring for a Product Designer to take full ownership of a core area of our platform. You’ll lead design from strategy to execution, working closely with Product and Engineering to shape features that help users create better ads with AI. This role is ideal for someone who wants real responsibility, values clarity and speed, and thrives in an environment where each Designer drives their own part of the product. You won’t just push pixels, you’ll help define what we build and why.

Key responsibilities:

• Work with one or more Product Managers to design key platform features to a high standard
• Use and contribute to our design system, ensuring consistency across the product and collaborating on the creation of new components
• Conduct research with users to identify, document, resolve major usability and design problems
• Stay at the forefront of how Al is being integrated into product design and ensure we are adopting the correct paradigms in Al product design
• Reporting to Borja Portos

Your background:

• You have 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design, ideally focused on SaaS products.
• You bring a strong portfolio that shows end-to-end product thinking.
• You’re comfortable owning projects in a fast-paced environment and confident working closely with Product Managers and Engineers.
• You’re skilled in Figma and have experience using and contributing to design systems.
