About the Role

This position is to lead the architectural design, development, implementation and management of our innovative AI/ML-based web application. Leading a multi-disciplinary local and international team, you will be responsible for planning and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure technical solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in enterprise software development for both B2B and B2C market segments.

Work hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM PH Time (subject to changes depending on the critical deployments)
Work set-up: Remote

What you’ll do

Own and deliver complete technical solutions, from scope definition through implementation and release
Drive execution on project timelines, manage technical risk, and proactively remove blockers
Lead design and development of scalable, maintainable systems using Node.js (backend) and React.js (frontend)
Architect efficient and performant data models in both SQL and NoSQL databases
Collaborate closely with product and project managers to translate requirements into technical solutions
Enforce high standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability through reviews and hands-on development
Ensure production readiness: logging, monitoring, performance tuning, and incident response
Lead sprint planning and retrospectives from a technical perspective, ensuring realistic estimation and scope
Coordinate with DevOps or Cloud Engineers for smooth deployments and infrastructure decisions
Support and mentor junior engineers, promoting engineering excellence and delivery accountability

What You Bring

5+ years of experience in software development with a strong delivery track record
Deep expertise in Node.js and React.js
Strong understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.)
Experience leading or driving delivery of complex technical projects
Proficiency in managing version control, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and agile delivery practices
Strong focus on performance, scalability, and reliability
Excellent communication, coordination, and technical decision-making skills

Experience with Python and Machine Learning
