Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to take ownership of our Notifications platform. This role offers the opportunity to craft, socialize, and execute a strategic vision for unifying notifications experiences across channels and domains while delivering advanced user controls to manage and personalize the notifications experience. The Notifications platform is at the heart of how our users connect with time, and this role is pivotal in driving innovation and delivering meaningful solutions for our diverse customer personas.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with a proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and other product teams. They will partner closely with stakeholders and partners to define a modern, cohesive experience that enables timely, relevant and consistent notifications, that can be personalized, consumed and summarized. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and align stakeholders across the organization are essential. This role requires balancing strategic thinking with execution, ensuring the successful delivery of features that serve both end users and organizational needs. Who You Are

• Proven experience as a Product Manager with a focus on delivering results, preferably in HCM or with experience owning a platform in a suite of disparate products that need like functionality.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and drive results.
• Proven ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative data from different funnels to drive product strategy and roadmap decisions.
• A true team player who thrives on collaboration—working with Product Managers both within and outside of your product category to deliver integrated solutions across Paylocity’s product suite.
• Capable of presenting ideas and product strategies to senior executives and gaining buy-in for product direction.
• Customer-centric mindset, focused on solving customer problems and delivering impactful solutions.
• Data-driven, using insights to inform decision-making and prioritize initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering collaboration across teams and proven ability to influence others with a sound vision/strategy.
• Passionate about continuous improvement and always seeking out current market and technology trends.

During The First Six Months At Paylocity, You Will

• Develop a vision and strategy for the Notifications platform that supports the stakeholders we serve internally and externally.
• Lead product execution for the Notifications platform, coordinating with multiple engineering teams and product stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with other Product Managers across different categories to ensure alignment and integration of solutions across the broader Paylocity platform.
• Build strong working relationships with triad partners and engineering teams, ensuring seamless collaboration, clear communication, and alignment.
• Develop a strong understanding of our customers, business, competition, and the HCM landscape.
• Regularly present product strategy, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Contribute to and deliver results against the product vision and strategy, focused on meeting customer needs and adapting to market trends.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, writing user stories and breaking down complex functionality into epics and user stories.
• Conduct product discovery sessions, gather customer feedback, and validate product features.
• Monitor and analyze product performance post-launch, identifying opportunities for improvements.
• Regularly communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to assess product performance and gather insights.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally with HCM experience or experience owning an experience that consolidates several sources of data in a suite of many different product offerings.
• Strong experience in working with agile development teams.
• Proven ability to collaborate with product managers across different categories and work cross-functionally to deliver cohesive product & platform solutions.
• Experience working as a part of a platform team that serves both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to drive measurable results that tie back to business impact.
• Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate product strategy and updates to executive leadership.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, fostering collaboration across multiple teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Superior attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, balancing short-term execution with long-term planning.
