About Pathros

Pathros is building access-path intelligence for modern identity security. We help security teams, developers, and fast-moving companies understand how access actually flows across their systems, especially the risky inherited permissions, hidden privilege chains, and identity relationships that traditional IAM tools often miss.

Our mission is simple: make life easier, one CISO at a time. We believe security should not be buried in dashboards, vague alerts, or manual audits. It should give teams exact answers, strong evidence, and practical ways to reduce risk without slowing down the business.

At Pathros, we value precision, integrity, speed, taste, and deep ownership. We are performance-driven and committed to building tools that help both enterprise security leaders and individual engineers do their best work.

Role Overview

Joining Pathros means joining a small, ambitious team building foundational infrastructure for the future of identity security. You will have real ownership, high trust, direct impact, and the opportunity to shape a company from the earliest stages. We are looking for people who are curious, fast-learning, and excited to build something that genuinely helps defenders protect the systems people depend on.

The Product Designer at Pathros will help shape the core user experience behind our platform, product flows, and customer-facing interfaces. This role requires someone who is more than a visual designer: the ideal candidate should be technical, systems-minded, highly skilled in UI/UX, familiar with modern web design, and capable of turning complex product ideas into clear, elegant, usable experiences. This person should have excellent taste, strong product judgment, and the ability to work closely with engineering, leadership, and design to create interfaces that feel simple, polished, intelligent, and dependable.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the look and feel of Pathros’ website, product pages, launch materials, and customer-facing experiences.
  • Create visual systems and templates that make the brand scalable as the company grows.
  • Translate complex technical workflows into simple, usable, and visually refined user experiences.
  • Collaborate with leadership, product, engineering, and brand design to maintain a consistent experience across the company’s digital presence.
  • Help define and improve design systems, interaction patterns, layout standards, and interface components.
  • Contribute to website design and product-marketing experiences where product clarity and user experience matter.
  • Think deeply about user needs, information hierarchy, usability, accessibility, and the overall quality of the product experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Strong portfolio showing excellent product design, UI/UX thinking, interaction design, visual taste, and technical product judgment.
  • Experience designing software products, dashboards, web applications, developer tools, enterprise tools, SaaS platforms, or other complex digital systems.
  • Strong understanding of user flows, design systems, component-based interfaces, responsive design, accessibility, and usability principles.
  • Familiarity with modern website design and the ability to create polished web experiences that feel clear, fast, and credible.
  • Technical fluency and comfort working closely with engineers, including an understanding of how designs translate into real implementation.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical ideas without making the product feel shallow or generic.
  • Experience working in early-stage startups, high-trust software environments, technical products, or fast-moving product teams.
