【REMOTE BASE】 Project Manager - U.S. Market Expansion for Japanese Brands

Role Overview
Loking for a proactive, organized, and strategic Marketing Project Manager/Social Account Manager to join their growing Los Angeles team. You will serve as a key point of contact for clients across entertainment, tech, and Japanese IPs, managing day-to-day communications, social media strategy, campaign execution, and performance reporting. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multicultural, and creatively driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main client point of contact across multiple accounts
- Manage day-to-day social media operations: content planning, copywriting, publishing, community engagement, and performance tracking
- Lead internal and external calls, project briefings, and weekly status updates
- Oversee creator/influencer campaigns from sourcing to execution
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (creative, strategy, influencer, production) to drive seamless execution
- Keep projects on track - owning timelines, deliverables, and budgets
- Deliver insightful performance reports and recap decks with actionable recommendations
- Maintain deep understanding of client goals and provide strategic counsel
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and cultural shifts
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance campaign impact and client satisfaction
Requirements
- Bilingual in Japanese and English, with strong communication skills in both languages (written and verbal)
- 3+ years of experience in social media account management, ideally at a creative or digital agency
- At least 1 year of experience in a dedicated Account Manager role
- Proven track record of leading social, influencer, and integrated marketing campaigns
- Detail-oriented with exceptional project management and communication skills
- Strong client-facing presence and ability to lead meetings and presentations
- Proficiency in social media analytics tools (e.g., Sprout, Sprinklr, Meta Insights, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and accounts simultaneously
- Enthusiastic team player with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed across global time zones
- Passion for cross-cultural storytelling and understanding of Japanese Anime culture
- Experience working with Japanese brands is a plus
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Keynote, Slack, Dropbox
Working Location
The office is based in Los Angeles, CA, but is primarily remote, with occasional on-site presence required for client meetings, shoots, or team collaboration.
Salary Range
- $60,000 – $70,000 USD annually, depending on experience
