Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Front-End Software Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to lead front-end development focusing on full life-cycle software design, development, implementation, and verification and testing.

This hybrid role requires candidates to be local to Maryland, Northern Virginia, or the DC Metro area for occasional on-site collaboration.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Implement highly intuitive UI for data management and visualization tools.
• Create polished, consistent interfaces using established and custom component libraries and CSS styling.
• Rework existing front-end products to be more responsive and performant.
• Work alongside program managers, UX designers, software engineers, hardware engineers, subject matter experts, and customers.
• Conduct ongoing code documentation, code coverage, and build version control.
• Develop ongoing unit-based tests and regression tests, create acceptance criteria for QC, conduct peer-review w/ other team members, and review code for others.
• Practice and improve on Agile/Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) development methodologies and tools.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor degree in software engineering, computer science, or related technology field or 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience with front-end software development.
• Strong programming skills and experience in developing Front end web server implementations using REST methodologies. Preferably using Python frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, Django etc.
• Strong programming skills in the following: Python, Jave, JavaScript, Go, Git, SQL, Testing, Debugging.
• Expertise in containerized application development and management. Preferably with a strong familiarity of Docker & Kubernetes, including deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications, as well as troubleshooting and optimizing workloads within a cluster.
• Experience with Data Visualization, RESTful APIs, RESTful Web Services, Python, Orchestration and Containerization (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker).

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Ability to communicate highly technical analyses at a level comprehensible to non-technical audiences and senior-level government representatives and corporate executives.
• Expert knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Database Architecture, User Experience (UX), software development/deployment processes and tool kits (e.g. Git, Artifactory, SonarQube).
• Development using Agile/SAFe development practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a lead or within a team of peers, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• TS/SCI w/Poly preferred

Salary Range:

$108,700.00 - $217,400.00
