We’re looking for a Product Design Manager to lead the design strategy and execution for British Airline Company operational decision support tools. This role focuses on designing intuitive and user-friendly experiences while collaborating closely with operational experts to simplify and challenge existing processes. This role is also ideal for someone passionate about simplifying complex workflows through intuitive user experiences, with a strong background in UX/UI and a deep appreciation for operational efficiency and stakeholder management.

You'll work closely with domain experts in airline operations—such as controllers, logistics and scheduling teams—to reimagine critical tools and processes that power real-time decisions across the airline.

What You'll Do

Partner with operational experts to deeply understand business needs and turn complexity into elegant, human-centered solutions.
Lead the end-to-end design process: from discovery and ideation to prototyping, validation, and implementation.
Deliver high-quality UX and UI designs for both web and mobile platforms.
Drive continuous improvement by challenging legacy workflows and designing modern, scalable alternatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders) to ensure design alignment with product goals and technical feasibility.
Conduct user research and usability testing to validate assumptions and inform design decisions.
Champion best practices in accessibility, interaction design, and user-centered thinking across the product lifecycle.
Mentor and guide other team members, fostering a culture of craft, innovation, and feedback.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Senior Product Designer or Design Manager, with a strong portfolio showcasing impactful digital products.
Experience working on tools or platforms in complex operational environments (e.g. airline operations, logistics, supply chain, or similar).
Expertise in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalents.
Solid understanding of user research methods, usability principles, and design systems.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment, while balancing long-term vision with immediate priorities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical and operational requirements into usable and delightful interfaces.
Bonus: Familiarity with data-heavy interfaces and decision-support tools.
