Role Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience to join our team as an individual contributor (IC). This role focuses on solving hard problems, writing production-quality code, and helping shape the direction of our products through strong technical judgment and practical decision-making.

You’ll be trusted to operate independently, from clarifying requirements to delivering solutions, while collaborating closely with the CTO and team. Beyond coding, you’ll help refine our architecture, identify edge cases, and make sure what we build is maintainable, efficient, and scalable.

What You’ll Do

• Own complex technical problems end-to-end—from design through implementation and deployment.
• Collaborate with the CTO and product team to prioritize and deliver new features and improvements.
• Write, test, and review production-quality code across the stack.
• Break down ambiguous requirements into actionable engineering work.
• Contribute to system architecture and design discussions with a focus on long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Support customer success by diagnosing and resolving technical issues when needed.
• Identify opportunities to optimize workflows, automate processes, and improve team efficiency.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience: 7+ years as a software engineer in production environments.
• Problem-Solving: Proven ability to break down complex issues into structured, manageable solutions.
• AI Tools Expertise: Deep expertise in applying AI tools to real engineering workflows—for example, using AI to accelerate code generation, automated testing, data analysis, or design exploration—and helping lead the way in defining how AI should be embedded throughout the entire product design and development lifecycle.
• Languages/Tools: Comfortable with at least two modern programming languages (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go, C#, C++). Familiarity with SQL and APIs (REST, gRPC, or similar).
• Linux systems and scripting (Bash, Perl, Lua, etc.), ideally on embedded systems
• ORMs: Sequelize, SQLAlchemy, Django ORM, or similar.
• Architecture: Solid understanding of modular, component-based system design.
• Cloud/DevOps: Experience deploying and maintaining applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• AI/ML Video Pipelines, Computer Vision: Experience designing and implementing AI-powered video pipelines, including model training, optimization, and deployment. Familiarity with computer vision frameworks, dataset preparation, and real-time inference in production environments is highly valued.
• Edge Hardware: Experience with edge hardware is a plus (e.g., deploying and troubleshooting cameras, GPU units, or other compute devices in the field, optimizing performance in resource-constrained environments, and ensuring reliability under real-world conditions).
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills—able to explain technical issues to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mindset: Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable in a startup environment with shifting priorities.

Education
