We’re looking for someone who’s self-managed, proactive, and energized by owning projects from end to end—especially in a fully remote environment.
📋 Role Overview:
We’re seeking a highly motivated Associate Designer to support the full design process from concept through production. This role is perfect for someone creatively driven and detail-oriented, with a sharp eye for emerging trends and the ability to translate them into innovative, commercially successful women’s activewear for the Paragon customer.
🏗️ Key Responsibilities:
- Support Senior Designer in developing and executing seasonal collections across categories.
- Contribute to all product lifecycle phases, from concept through production.
- Conduct market research, including competitor analysis and trend forecasting in silhouette, fabric, color, and innovation.
- Prepare and present brand-aligned, trend-informed design concepts; adapt and refine based on feedback.
- Develop detailed technical flats in Adobe Illustrator.
- Build and maintain tech packs and BOMs using Google Sheets and/or PLM, partnering with Technical Design.
- Manage sample processes for fit, PPS, and TOP samples.
- Create and maintain seasonal line plans.
- Proactively manage timelines to meet all deadlines per the seasonal calendar.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Technical Design, and Marketing to ensure design vision execution.
⚡ Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of apparel design experience; activewear a plus.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator with strong sketching and CAD skills.
- PLM system experience a plus.
- Solid knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and technical specs.
- Strong ability to identify trends and convert them into commercially viable women’s activewear that resonates with the Paragon customer.
- Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and accurate.
- Self-driven with strong ownership and follow-through.
- Skilled at managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Located in Portland, OR or West Coast.
