Summary:
- The Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) Coordinator actively identifies and analyzing opportunities for cost reduction and schedule delay reduction.
- As part of a managed service to CoPQ, the Contractor identifies, analyzes, and drives improvement actions related to all avoidable, high-value cost and schedule impacts. Additionally, the Contractor helps to drive progress on improvement actions owned by partner teams.
- Upon closure of actions, the Contractor monitors for incident recurrence and long-term effectiveness of improvement actions.
Resource's typical working day/Contractor will provide the following services:
- Coordination / Communication
- Set up meetings.
- Take meeting notes.
- Write/manage/distribute meeting agendas.
- Coordinate support from partner teams for events deemed appropriate for analysis by CoPQ Program Manager or Technical Program Manager. Identify appropriate teams, set up meetings, review documents, manage documentation, and help prepare CoPQ reports.
- Create action item the internal ticketing system. Monitor tickets to ensure service level objective (SLO) compliance, coordinate with the client's stakeholders to close tickets (with CoPQ PgM or TPgM facilitating as necessary), and validate that actual actions meet the intent of proposed actions.
- Message/email stakeholders regarding meetings and action items as necessary.
- Complete any additional CoPQ analysis or reports as instructed by CoPQ PgM or TPgM.
Data Management and Analysis
- Monitor cost and schedule impacts (and related events) through various data sources including site-owned change order spreadsheets, e-Builder, internal ticketing system, and Autodesk BIM360 and acquire additional information from stakeholders as necessary.
- Enforce good data hygiene (e.g. required intake tickets fields populated correctly).
- Review and categorize data from Data Sources based on the following fields (as available): data source, product, sub program area, action type, action owner, cost impact, schedule impact, quality impact, safety impact, root cause, and failure mode.
- Perform data analysis and visualization on data from Data Sources (e.g. with spreadsheet formulas, charts, etc.).
- Automate reporting and analysis where possible (e.g. by creating spreadsheets, dashboards, SQL, JavaScript).
Root Cause Analysis
- Conduct and document root cause analysis (RCA) of incidents in collaboration with partner teams (e.g. data center services, design execution) to identify root causes and appropriate program-wide preventive actions.
- Meetings with partner teams will be facilitated/led by CoPQ PgM or TPgM.
- Associate root causes to process/procedure gaps, failure modes, and appropriate corrective/preventive actions.
