Responsibilities
- Review current procedures and research emerging UX, UXR and user-centred design practices to support application modernization.
- Develop implementation strategies and plans to help improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Assess alignment with relevant digital, service and data policies, directives and strategies.
- Identify methodologies to implement, monitor and continuously improve UX research and design practices.
- Document and analyze existing solutions, workflows and business processes as part of UXR activities.
- Conduct qualitative, quantitative and evaluative research through interviews, workshops, surveys and guided discussions.
- Prepare research summaries, findings, workflows, templates, SOPs, toolkits and practical implementation materials.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to leadership, managers and clients on UX, UXR and UXD adoption.
- Monitor and evaluate engagement processes and recommend improvements to support operational efficiencies.
- Support hands-on trial, validation and adaptation of proposed UX research strategies and procedures.
- Provide training direction and expertise on leveraging user research and user-centric approaches in business processes.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant experience providing advisory services in strategic, operational or digital transformation environments.
- Experience with 3 large projects for complex Federal Government organizations, providing expert advisory services in design thinking, UX research and UX design.
- Experience leading 3 large digital business transformation projects for complex organizations as the lead UX designer performing research methodologies.
- 5+ years of experience developing strategies, service blueprints and implementation plans for teams designing digital solutions.
- Experience supporting adoption of UX research and design for digital solutions deployed into production with 2000+ users.
- Experience developing and presenting strategies for adopting UX research and design to senior officials.
- Experience documenting research methodologies, service design artifacts, workflows, findings, templates, SOPs and implementation materials.
- Experience reviewing and recommending improvements to policies, procedures, governance, performance reporting or risk management practices.
- Secret security clearance.
- Secondary school diploma and a certificate, diploma or degree in a relevant field, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
