Senior C# software engineer (South America based or able to work to NY/EST time - Fully remote)

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a project for a US based client who has built a well known app, connecting people and suitable doctors depending on their specialist requirements.

We're looking for in-depth expertise in backend development, specialising in C# and AWS technologies. This role demands a strong understanding of security principles, with a focus on authentication and authorization. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing secure, scalable, and maintainable systems, while actively contributing to technical artifacts, PR reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.

Overloop is a UK based company, and our team currently works remotely from around Europe, Africa, and South America.

Are you the right candidate?

We are looking for a South America based Senior C# Engineer with the following experience:

• C# 6+ years
• Security Principles: Authentication and Authorization
• Auth0 or similar identity management platform
• AWS Technologies: DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS/SNS, Kinesis

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using C#.
• Build and deploy scalable, resilient applications on AWS.
• Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms, ensuring adherence to security best practices, standards, and regulations.
• Create scalable and reliable systems with high availability and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, including unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver end-to-end features.
• Provide technical guidance and feedback on designs, PR reviews, and other technical artifacts.
• Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and security best practices.
• Experience with GenAI tools to enhance developer productivity is a plus

Approximate salary range / contractors equivalent - $60 - $65 per hour - depending on experience.

The interview process will look like:

• You will have a 30 min - 1hour interview with the team at Overloop to talk through your skills and experience.
• We will then put you forward to our client who will have 2 screening rounds with different members of the team that you would be working with (hiring manager and coding).
• Then finally 2 more rounds in a little more detail (code review and coding as per product spec)
