Mid - Senior C# software engineer (work to a New York timezone / English fluency - Fully remote)

Senior backend C# engineer (South America based or able to work mostly to New York/EST time - English fluency - Fully remote)

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a project for a US based client who has built a well known app, connecting people with suitable medical professionals depending on their specialist requirements. Our client strives to make it easier for patients to get the medical care they need. They were founded with a mission to give power to the patient and enable a seamless healthcare experience patients expect and deserve.

We're looking for in-depth expertise in backend development, specialising in C# and AWS technologies. The contractor will be required to help implement C# microservices to break out from an existing monolith. This will include using AWS CDK to build new infrastructure-as-code and in some cases new data model designs.

Are you the right candidate?

We are looking for a Mid to Senior backend C# Engineer with the following experience:

• Significant relevant experience with backend programming patterns and paradigms
• Experience implementing REST APIs in a backend
• Experience designing database schemas (preferably with experience with NoSQL as well as SQL)
• Experience working with object oriented programming patterns,
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure as code,
• Experience working with asynchronous processing such as streams and queues and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with C#
• AWS

Nice to have:

• .NET Core
• AWS CDK
• Healthcare technology experience
• E-commerce experience
• Booking platforms experience

Soft skills

• English fluency
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fast learner

Overloop is a UK based company, and our team currently works remotely from around Europe, Africa, and South America.

Approximate salary range / contractors equivalent - $50 - $65 per hour - depending on experience.

The interview process will look like:

• You will have a 30 min - 1hour interview with the team at Overloop to talk through your skills and experience.
• We will then put you forward to our client who will have some additional interview rounds of their own. The format is yet to be confirmed.
