About This Role

We’re looking for a Senior OutSystems Engineers that are versatile, enthusiastic, great team-players with strong work ethics, eager to learn and available to help others. We want creative individuals that cherish and contribute to an informal high-performance and collaborative work environment.

As a Low-code Software Engineer, you will join our Engineering team focused on evolving the OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) platform. You will engage in the full software development lifecycle—from design through development, testing, release, and support of new features—using modern technologies and industry best practices. What You Will Do Or Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-quality enterprise-grade applications;
• Architect solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and secure, adhering to OutSystems development best practices;
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and other engineering teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior low-code developers;
• Perform code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards;
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the development lifecycle;
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner;
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in low-code and no-code technologies.

Required

Qualifications / What You Need To Succeed

• Degree in Computer Science or other STEM courses;
• 2+ years of OutSystems development experience;
• 4+ years of software development experience;
• Experience with REST API integrations;
• Proficiency in web based languages: JavaScript, CSS, HTML;
• Programming with databases: SQL Server, Oracle or Postgres;
• Experience in Agile methodologies practices;
• Understanding of solution architecture and design, and web application performance;
• Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to enhance development productivity and user experience.

Preferred

• Associate OutSystems Developer certification (or higher);
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure;
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines;
• Enthusiasm to understand what are the upcoming technologies and frameworks (e.g. explore gen AI capabilities within low-code applications);

• Communication - Clear and empathetic communicator in both written and spoken English;
• Accountability - Takes ownership of problems, drives them to resolution, and involves relevant stakeholders when necessary.
• Process Oriented - Organized, adheres to defined processes while constructively challenging inefficiencies and proposing improvements.
• Problem-solving - Approaches problems top-down, breaking down complex issues into manageable parts, using critical thinking to analyze and resolve them logically.
