As part of this role, you will work extensively on developing the OutSystems Platform, covering areas such as code generation and runtime application execution.

What You Will Do

• Write and test code in short development cycles, following industry-standard software development best practices (e.g., TDD, BDD, code reviews and any others that can improve overall quality);
• Design and develop highly-scalable (i.e. thousands of users) and maintainable solutions with a high level of autonomy;
• Address feedback from end-users and adapt your solutions accordingly;
• Contribute to the design and communication of high-level functional architectures;
• Optimize the performance of any platform components you work on;
• Support and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of learning, improvement and growth;
• Troubleshoot escalations from 2nd/3rd line of support, ensuring the problem doesn’t get any worse and, of course, resolving the reported issue.

What You Need To Succeed

• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar. If you do not have such a degree but have equivalent real-world experience (and can demonstrate it), we still want to hear from you;
• 3 - 8 years of software development experience;
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design;
• Proficiency in C# (preferred) or Java, or any other statically typed with class-based object orientation programming language;
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Javascript;
• Experience working with SQL Server (preferred) or Oracle;
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for analyzing and designing elegant solutions;
• Good communication skills and fluency in English;
• Being curious about the things we do and the impacts they will have on our customers, challenging the status quo;
• Help identify and deal with small crisis as soon as they happen;
• Being able to ask for help and offer help to others;
• Understand the concept of minimum viable product;
• Highly-focused on the quality of every delivery.
