Your primary role is to ensure that content published through the Content Management OS meets the world-class visual fidelity required by the performing arts and luxury sectors, permanently setting the new industry standard. This is a ground-floor opportunity to fundamentally reshape the publishing industry.
Note: This role will split time between developing templates for the new Audience Access platform and supporting production needs for existing Managed Program Book Services (MPBS) clients, requiring close coordination with the Publications Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 years experience in high-end print + digital production or graphic design (print-to-web publishing)
- Expert Adobe Creative Suite skills (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) — mandatory
- High knowledge in Pagination, including long-form editorial layouts, page flow, numbering systems, and master page setup
- Strong in style sheets, master pages, and design specifications with consistent execution
- Excellent eye for typography, layout, color, and luxury editorial aesthetics
- Experienced in print-ready file preparation and web-optimized digital asset output
- Able to handle high-volume content under tight seasonal deadlines with strong attention to detail
Key Responsibilities
Digital & Print Production Mastery (70%)
- Content Execution & Layout: Lead the layout and design of both print (MPBS) and digital (Audience Access) program books. Manage the flow of content within the Content Management OS, ensuring seamless translation of design integrity across platforms.
- Template Design & Maintenance: Develop and maintain custom, responsive digital templates for various clients, ensuring the Flipboard-style experience is visually consistent across all device types, with the goal of making the digital version visibly superior to print.
- Prepress & Commercial Printing: Expertise in preparing and finalizing print-ready files for commercial printers, ensuring quality and technical compliance for legacy clients.
- Fidelity & QA: Act as the final quality check on all published materials, focusing on typography, color accuracy, layout precision, and overall aesthetic quality—mimicking and exceeding the discipline of high-end print production.
Digital Ad Creative Production (20%)
- Ad Design and Building to Spec: Design and build visual assets for both internal and external ad clients, ensuring they meet the required technical specifications for dynamic placement on the Audience Access platform and external ad platforms like Facebook/Instagram.
