Role Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Lead to join our founding team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience at a leading AAA or VR game studio and a proven track record of technical leadership on shipped, high-profile titles. You will be responsible for setting the technical vision, leading engineering efforts, and building a robust, scalable architecture for our flagship VR game.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical direction and architecture for the project.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Oversee the development and optimization of core systems, gameplay mechanics, and tools.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with design, art, and production teams to achieve project goals.
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on support throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges proactively.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in game development, with significant time at a AAA or top-tier VR studio.
• Proven leadership on at least one shipped AAA or major VR title.
• Deep expertise in C++ (or similar languages) and experience with modern game engines (Unreal Engine or Unity).
• Experience in leading development teams and managing project timelines
• Strong knowledge of game optimization techniques and technical solutions
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with multiplayer/networked games.
• Familiarity with the latest trends in VR technology.
• Experience building and scaling engineering teams.
