Email Marketing Manager

OTTO Quotes is seeking an experienced Email Deliverability & ESP Partnerships Manager to own and scale the technical foundation of our email channel. This role is responsible for maximizing inbox placement, maintaining sender reputation, managing ESP relationships, and developing long-term deliverability strategies that support high-volume lead generation programs.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience managing deliverability across large-scale email operations and has established direct relationships with major Email Service Providers (ESPs), mailbox providers, and deliverability teams. This person understands the technical, operational, and strategic components of email infrastructure and can proactively identify and resolve deliverability challenges before they impact performance. We are seeking someone who can serve as the internal subject matter expert on email deliverability while acting as a key external point of contact with ESP partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage OTTO's email deliverability strategy across domains, IPs, and sending infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain direct relationships with ESP account teams, deliverability specialists, and platform partners.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for deliverability escalations, account health issues, and inbox placement challenges.
• Implement and maintain email authentication protocols including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and related best practices.
• Monitor sender reputation, inbox placement, complaint rates, bounce rates, and other key deliverability indicators.
• Lead testing, experimentation, and optimization efforts across both deliverability and campaign performance to improve inbox placement, engagement, conversion rates, and overall lead generation results.
• Monitor and optimize key performance indicators including inbox placement, sender reputation, open rates, click-through rates, conversions, complaint rates, and lead quality.
• Analyze deliverability, engagement, and conversion data to identify opportunities for growth and implement strategies that improve both email performance and business outcomes.
• Partner with internal marketing and operations teams to ensure email programs align with business objectives while maintaining strong sender health.
• Stay current on mailbox provider requirements, industry regulations, and emerging deliverability best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in email deliverability, email operations, or technical email marketing.
• Demonstrated experience managing high-volume email programs and sender infrastructure.
• Established relationships with major ESPs and deliverability teams.
• Deep understanding of email authentication standards, sender reputation management, and inbox placement optimization.
• Strong knowledge of Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft, and other major mailbox provider requirements and best practices.
• Experience managing IP and domain reputation, warming strategies, and remediation efforts.
• Ability to analyze technical deliverability data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in lead generation, performance marketing, or customer acquisition environments.
• Experience managing multiple domains, brands, or high-volume sending programs.
• Familiarity with email compliance requirements including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and related regulations.
• Experience leading ESP evaluations, migrations, and vendor negotiations.
