Othisis is an early-stage startup on a mission to revolutionize clinical documentation through AI-driven ambient clinical voice technology. Our product automatically captures and organizes patient-clinician conversations into structured, compliant records, saving dentists hours of manual charting every week. We are seeking a UX/UI Engineer who can design and implement intuitive user experiences across web and mobile platforms. You will be a key player in shaping how clinicians and their teams interact with our AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. User Research & Requirement Gathering
• Conduct user interviews, observe in-practice workflows, and gather feedback from dentists, hygienists, and office
managers.
• Translate complex dental workflows into clear design requirements and user journeys.
2. UX Design & Prototyping
• Create low- to high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows that align with dentists’ needs and constraints (busy operatories, minimal hardwar
e, etc.).
• Define information architecture that accurately reflects clinical workflows, procedure codes, patient demographics, and compliance requirements (HIPAA, etc.).
3. UI Development & Implementation • Collab
orate with front-end engineers to implement responsive, accessible UIs in modern frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Ensure designs are consistent with brand guidelines and follow best practices for typography, color, and layout.
4. Iterative Testing & Validation • Conduc
t usability testing sessions with actual dental professionals, gather feedback, and iterate quickly.
• Analyze usage metrics (time on task, user retention) and propose design improvements.
5. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams • Work c
losely with AI/ML Engineers to understand how real-time voice capture will surface data in the UI.
• Coordinate with Product Manager to prioritize feature roadmaps and balance user-centric design with business objectives.
6. Accessibility & Compliance • Implem
ent WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) best practices to accommodate diverse users (e.g., color vision deficiencies).
• Champion HIPAA-compliant design considerations (secure data handling, clear user permissions).
7. Design System & Documentation • Help e
stablish and maintain a design system (components, style guides, design tokens) to ensure a unified look and feel across the platform.
• Document design rationale, user flows, and interface requirements for future reference and onboarding.
8. Continuous Improvement • Keep u
p with the latest UX/UI trends, design tools, and front-end best practices.
• Suggest and implement new ideas to enhance the end-user experience, reduce cognitive load, and optimize workflows.
Qualifications
1. Experience
• 5+ years in UX/UI design and front-end engineering, ideally with experience in SaaS or healthcare/medical technology
products.
• Proven track record designing and building user-centric products that balance functionality and aesthetics.
2. Technical Skills • Front-
End Development: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and at least one major framework/library (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
• Design Tools: Expertise with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar for wireframing and prototyping.
• Version Control: Comfortable with Git/GitHub workflows and continuous integration processes.
3. Design & Research • Strong
grasp of design principles (layout, typography, color theory) and user research methodologies.
• Ability to create and interpret personas, user journey maps, and conduct usability tests.
4. Healthcare/Dental Domain Knowledge (Preferred)
• Familiarity with dental practice workflows (dentist/patient interactions, procedure coding, front-desk tasks).
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and security considerations in healthcare software.
5. Soft Skills • Excell
ent communication and collaboration abilities, comfortable presenting design decisions and rationale to non-design stakeholders.
• Problem-solving mindset: Ability to break down complex workflows into intuitive user experiences.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities.
Main criteria above all should be a self starter and capable of implanting tasks independently.
Salary Range Rs. 60,000 to Rs.90,000 per month.
