About OrbitShift
At OrbitShift, we are building the world’s first AI-native Sales Operating System, trusted by enterprise teams to accelerate their GTM motion. Our multi-agent AI system enables actionable account insights, RFP response generation, targeted nudges, and sales content. Backed by Peak XV, formerly Sequoia Capital, Stellaris Venture Partners, and other marquee investors, we are a fast-growing, 3-year-old startup with a team from Amazon, McKinsey, IIT, and Stanford.
We are looking for a Principal Product Designer / UI-UX Designer to design intuitive, scalable, and high-quality product experiences for our AI-native enterprise SaaS platform.
Role Overview
As a Principal Product Designer / UI-UX Designer, you will own the design of key product workflows across OrbitShift’s enterprise sales platform. You will work closely with founders, product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to understand user problems, simplify complex workflows, and create clean, usable, and visually polished product experiences.
This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to independently create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, UI designs, design specifications, and reusable design components. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where product requirements may be ambiguous, and where strong product thinking is as important as visual design craft.
Key Responsibilities
● Own Product Design End-to-End: Take product requirements from problem understanding and user flow creation to wireframes, prototypes, final UI designs, and engineering handoff.
● Design for Complex Workflows: Create simple and intuitive experiences for enterprise users working across account insights, RFP responses, AI-generated recommendations, sales nudges, and content workflows.
● Translate Ambiguity into Clear UX: Work with founders, product, and engineering teams to convert early-stage ideas, customer feedback, and business problems into structured product experiences.
● Create High-Quality UI: Deliver polished, clean, and consistent interfaces with strong attention to visual hierarchy, spacing, typography, usability, and interaction patterns.
● Build and Maintain Design Systems: Create reusable components, design patterns, and visual guidelines to ensure consistency across the product.
● Collaborate with Engineering: Work closely with frontend and full-stack engineers to ensure designs are feasible, well-understood, and implemented with quality.
● Improve Existing Product Experience: Review current product flows, identify UX gaps, simplify user journeys, and improve usability across the platform.
● Use AI Tools with Judgment: Use AI-enabled tools for research, ideation, prototyping, design exploration, and productivity, while maintaining strong human judgment and design quality.
● Bring Product Thinking: Ask the right questions, understand user intent, challenge weak assumptions, and suggest better ways to solve customer problems.
● Communicate Design Rationale: Clearly explain design decisions, trade-offs, and user experience choices to founders, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

● Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, UI design, and shipped product work.
● Ability to independently own design for a feature or product area from discovery to final handoff.
● Strong understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, information architecture, usability, visual hierarchy, and responsive design principles.
● Strong hands-on expertise with Figma and modern design/prototyping tools.
● Ability to simplify complex workflows and convert unclear requirements into clean, usable product experiences.
● Comfortable working directly with founders, product managers, engineers, and customer-facing teams.
● Strong communication skills and ability to explain design choices with clarity and confidence.
● High ownership mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment.
