We are a growing digital agency looking to establish and scale a dedicated email marketing department. We need an experienced Email Marketing & Deliverability Specialist who can manage high-volume B2B and B2C email campaigns while also overseeing the technical backend required to protect and improve domain/IP reputation.
This is not a basic email marketing role. We are looking for someone who understands both campaign strategy and the technical infrastructure behind successful large-volume sends.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, executing, and analyzing large-volume email campaigns using data partner lists and/or third-party audience data.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing B2B and B2C email campaigns at scale
- Working with data partners and segmented audience lists
- Setting up, monitoring, and optimizing email sending infrastructure
- Managing and maintaining domain reputation and IP reputation
- Configuring and monitoring SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX records, tracking domains, and related DNS/email authentication settings
- Ensuring proper warm-up strategies for new domains and IPs
- Monitoring deliverability, inbox placement, bounce rates, spam complaints, blocks, and blacklists
- Identifying and resolving issues affecting open rates, click rates, inbox placement, and sender reputation
- Building campaign reports with clear performance analysis and recommendations
- Advising on best practices for list hygiene, segmentation, suppression lists, compliance, and deliverability
- Helping us develop repeatable systems, SOPs, and processes for our agency’s email department
Requirements
The ideal candidate must have a proven track record with high-volume email campaigns and deep technical knowledge of email deliverability.
You should have experience with:
- Large-volume B2B and B2C email sends
- Email campaigns using third-party data providers or data partners
- Deliverability management and inbox placement strategy
- Domain/IP warming and reputation management
- DMARC, DKIM, SPF, DNS, MX records, tracking domains, and email authentication
- Blacklist monitoring and remediation
- ESPs, SMTP platforms, cold email platforms, or enterprise email marketing tools
- Campaign analytics, including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, bounce rates, spam complaints, and deliverability metrics
- List segmentation, suppression management, and data hygiene
- A/B testing subject lines, creative, offers, send times, and audience segments
- Creating detailed reports and actionable recommendations
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who can help us build this department the right way from the ground up. You should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to explain both campaign performance and technical deliverability issues clearly.
You must be able to show examples of successful campaigns, strong open rates, strong click-through rates, and measurable improvements in deliverability or sender reputation.
The right person will understand the nuances of high-volume sending, including how to protect domains, avoid reputation damage, structure sends properly, and maintain long-term performance.
