Senior Backend Engineer (Python) – Healthtech

Join a small, well-backed team using AI to fix one of chronic care’s hardest problems: helping patients actually follow through with treatment. The platform is already live with thousands of patients, reducing clinical workload by over 40%. Now they’re scaling fast — and looking for an engineer to help take them from 3K to 30K users.

You’ll own and evolve core backend systems: HIPAA-compliant infra, EHR integrations (FHIR/HL7), performance-critical pipelines, and platform reliability. It’s a hands-on, high-context role where speed, clarity, and care all matter.

Tech stack: Python (FastAPI), PostgreSQL, GCP, Terraform, Leaping AI

What you’ll bring:

• Strong Python experience, including async
• Experience designing and scaling backend systems
• Solid grasp of API design, infra-as-code, and cloud tooling (GCP preferred)
• Fluency with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and working closely with product, AI, and clinical teams

Bonus points for:

• Experience with health data or EHR systems (FHIR, HL7)
• Exposure to LLM-powered tools or applied ML
• Startup experience, or real appetite for early-stage work
