Senior Software Engineer - Product-Focused | Remote (US/Canada) - up to ~$350,000

We’re working with a fast-growing start-up building one of the most advanced developer tools in the AI space. Backed by top-tier investors (including Sequoia) with $73M raised and 700,000+ developers using the product, they’re expanding their engineering team through the end of the year.

This role is ideal for engineers who care deeply about how developers work, enjoy working across the stack, and like being close to real product decisions. The environment is highly collaborative, fast-moving, and centred around user experience.

What you’ll be doing

• Building and improving core product features used daily by a large developer community
• Working across frontend, backend, and infrastructure where needed
• Prototyping ideas quickly and shipping based on real user feedback
• Collaborating closely with design and product to shape new workflows
• Helping define how AI and agentic systems fit into everyday development

What they’re looking for

• Strong software engineering background (language-agnostic)
• A genuine interest in developer tools and improving developer workflows
• Ability to think from the user’s perspective, not just the technical one
• Clear communication and comfort working in a product-first culture
• Experience from a top school, major tech company, or well-known startup is helpful

Nice to have

(None of these are required)

• Rust or WASM experience
• Linux/shell programming
• Backend work in Go
• Graphics work (OpenGL/WebGPU)
