As a Senior Software Engineer (IC3), you will be responsible for developing AI powered services that scale our OCI operations. You will work with other senior engineers to implement scalable services/applications, automate deployment processes, and support operational excellence in production environments. Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- AI Service Development: Drive the end-to-end design and development of a AI service tailored for cloud operations, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with customer needs.
- Tooling & Infrastructure: Implement tools and frameworks that accelerate software development, experimentation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Integrate AI Agents into software services, leveraging AI to scale OCI operations
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product and engineering teams to align technical solutions with business priorities
- Customer Engagement: Collaborate directly with enterprise customers to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure service effectiveness in production environments.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code in languages such as Python, Go, or Java
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and cross-team collaboration
- Assist in deploying and monitoring services using modern cloud-native tools
- Learn and apply best practices for building reliable and performant distributed services with 24/7 operational excellence
Required Qualifications
- Overall 5+ years with hands-on software development experience in building Enterprise services and production-grade software systems
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and optimize services/applications in real-world, mission-critical environments
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, Go, or C++
- Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, LLMs, AI Agents, and cloud-native architectures
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a bias for action and execution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including direct collaboration with enterprise customers and cross org teams
- Experience with CI/CD workflows and container-based deployments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building AI scalable services/applications for enterprise
- Background in cloud operations, DevOps, or infrastructure monitoring domains
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or other major cloud platforms
- Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, MCP, or LLM serving technologies
- Interest in distributed systems, observability, and scalability challenges
- Willingness to learn from senior engineers and contribute to high-impact projects

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,800 - $178,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

- Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
