Optomi, in partnership with a premier client in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a Senior UI / Product Designer with a strong focus on hands-on component creation and design systems. This role will support the evolution of an existing enterprise design system, with a focus on building scalable, high-quality UI components across mobile and web platforms.
What You Will Do
- Design and build reusable, scalable UI components for enterprise applications (e.g., internal tools such as fleet and procurement systems)
- Work within an established brand and design system, contributing new components and enhancing existing ones
- Create and manage component architecture in Figma, including variants, states, and responsive behaviors
- Apply design tokens, variables, and auto layout to ensure consistency and scalability
- Design across multiple platforms (iOS, web, desktop), adapting components appropriately for each experience
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure accurate implementation and consistency
- Contribute to improving design system adoption and usability across teams
- Support alignment between design and development, including exposure to tools like Storybook
- Contribute to future initiatives, including emerging product areas and AI-related work
The Right Candidate Will Have
- Strong experience in hands-on UI/visual design and component creation
- Proven ability to build complex, scalable components (variants, states, edge cases) in Figma
- Experience working within and contributing to design systems
- Deep expertise in Figma (auto layout, variables, tokens, component structure)
- Experience designing across mobile and web platforms, with understanding of platform nuances
- Strong attention to detail in spacing, hierarchy, and visual consistency
- Ability to move quickly from concept to production-ready designs
- A portfolio showcasing detailed UI work and component-level thinking (must include examples of components, systems, or scalable UI—not just high-level screens)
Nice to Have
- Experience aligning design components with engineering workflows and tools like Storybook
- Familiarity with platform guidelines such as Apple Human Interface Guidelines
- Experience working in enterprise or large-scale product environments
