Senior Software Engineer (Scala / Spark / Java) - Long term contract - 100% Remote

Optomi, in partnership with one of the world's largest consulting firms, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of large-scale data processing solutions for high-volume encounter and claims data. This role is focused on designing and testing data processing pipelines that align with enterprise system strategies and client requirements. This is a fully remote role, only accepting W2 candidates at this time.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance big data processing code for high-volume encounter and claims data.
• Design and implement scalable data processing solutions using Apache Spark and Scala.
• Ensure solutions align with business requirements, design specifications, and system strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across data engineering, analytics, and business units.
• Conduct testing, validation, and performance optimization of big data pipelines.
• Support ongoing improvements and enhancements to existing data processes.
