Optomi, in partnership with a premier insurance provider, is seeking a part-time Senior UX Product Designer to support the delivery of exceptional digital experiences for their customer-facing platforms. This role will involve leading design initiatives, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Business teams, and driving improvements in information architecture, usability, and overall design quality. The ideal candidate will have experience taking ownership of end-to-end design projects, creating detailed design specifications, and working in fast-paced, Agile environments.
Flexible Hours: This role offers flexible scheduling; however, availability must overlap with standard business hours (EST). Weekly hours will range from 20 to 35, depending on business needs.
The Right Candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or UI Design.
- Strong background in user-centered design, wireframing, prototyping, and user journey mapping.
- Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to deliver digital solutions.
- Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into simple, intuitive design solutions.
- Strong understanding of design systems and accessibility best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Centered Interaction, Product Design, UX Design, Interaction Design, or related fields.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing web portals or self-service platforms.
- Experience with Conversational AI Design such as chatbot interactions, AI-driven experiences, or virtual assistants that guide users through tasks or answer questions
- Experience working in the insurance, financial services, or similar highly-regulated industries.
- Familiarity with agile environments and working alongside product managers and developers.
- Exposure to customer portals, policy management systems, or internal business tools.
- Knowledge of responsive design, mobile-first principles, and cross-platform design.
