Software Engineer (All Genders)

About our client:

Our client is a company builder based in Cologne, focused on developing digital business models in banking, insurance, and financial services. Working in interdisciplinary teams, they bring modern software solutions to life, from concept to live operations.

Location: Remote within Germany (occasional team workshops in Cologne every 6 weeks; expenses covered)

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: €75,000 – €85,000/year

Your Role:

• Support the Solution Engineering team in designing modular IT solutions
• Work as a cloud services expert on GCP projects
• Contribute to both backend (Java, Python, C#) and frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript) development
• Apply DevOps principles: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Analyze, optimize, and implement scalable cloud architectures and modern software solutions
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders
• Participate in DevDay every 6 weeks in Cologne for team building (expenses covered)

Tech Stack:

• Git & GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines
• Docker & container technologies
• Terraform for infrastructure automation
• SQL for data processing and analysis
• Microservice architectures and cloud services on GCP

Your Profile:

• Degree in IT, Business, or related field
• Hands-on experience in software development (backend and frontend)
• Strong backend skills (Java, Python, C#) and interest in frontend work (JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Familiarity or willingness to work with GCP services
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
• Self-driven, structured, and team-oriented
